Supreme Court to Hear Landmark Case: Is Cereal a Soup?

Oral arguments scheduled for October. Amicus briefs already filed by milk, broth, and a very confident uncle.

The Court granted certiorari in Kellogg v. Broth, a case that began as a comment-section dispute and somehow acquired standing. Petitioners argue cereal is “a breakfast soup with better branding.” Respondents call that “an attack on the American morning.”

Justices requested exhibits. A bowl, a spoon, and a carton of milk were entered into evidence under armed guard, because this country cannot have anything nice.
